Chimichurri Sauce and Marinade SPICY

Delicious sauce with a spicy twist for grilled meats, sausages and vegetables, which works equally well as a marinade. Chimichurri is a perfect blend of parsley, oregano, garlic, chilli, olive oil, red wine vinegar and other herbs and spices.

Chimichurri is enjoyed with grilled meats across Spain and throughout Latin America. Legend has it that an Irishman, Jimmy McCurry, invented this sauce to accompany the Asado, the famed Argentinean barbeque of monumental scale. The Gauchos, Argentine cowboys, loved the sauce but found the Irish name difficult to say and transformed it into Chimichurri.

Delicious simply poured generously over grilled meats and sausages or as a dressing for grilled vegetables or fish. Can also be used as a marinade for meat or vegetables before grilling, ideally for about an hour before cooking. Mixed with some mayonnaise, Chimichurri makes a tasteful condiment for any table.
